At Admirals Walk Pet Clinic we provide compassionate medical care for all of your pets. Our goal is to keep the pet members of your family healthy and happy. Dr. Rick R. Cohen established Admiral's Walk Pet Clinic in February of 1998.


The clinic works closely with Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital (CVVH), which has operated for over 30 years, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. CVVH continues to offer this service with a twenty four hour emergency clinic staffed by highly skilled, committed emergency trained clinicians. The staff support is outstanding with registered animal health technicians, trained ward nurses, and receptionists. Dr. Cohen performs his surgery at Central where he can provide your pet with an excellent standard of care. All surgeries are booked through Admiral's Walk Pet Clinic.

Visiting specialists at Central provide expertise in several disciplines and are available on a consultation basis. Presently there is a board-certified surgeon, internist, ophthalmologist and dentist. Dr. Cohen is a graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked locally for a year and a half before pursuing his interest in emergency and critical care medicine. He practiced at several emergency facilities before accepting a position at Central in 1993.

As a pet owner Dr. Cohen will provide your pet with the same compassionate and attentive care he would his own. He has expertise working with dogs, cats, birds, exotics and pocket pets. Dr. Cohen acts as a consultant with the Pet Support Line, lectures on pet loss and grieving, and works closely with his patients' owners during times of loss. He also works with marine mammals on a contractual basis through the Canadian Department of Fisheries. Dr. Cohen and staff look forward to meeting you and your pet to establish a healthy lifestyle with preventative healthcare.
